Shine opened it’s first 9-5 unit mid-2014.

These units operate as a ‘step down’ service for those requiring a more gradual ‘step down’ process, with a period of testing in a slightly more independent service prior to moving to their own flat with floating support.
Some key features of the service are:

• Self contained units
• Personalised package of support between the hours of 9am to 5pm (or 9pm if needed)
• Access to 24-hour staffing if needed
• Out of hours on-call crisis management service
• Preparation for independent living
